Senior Machine Learning Performance Engineer

Our client, a world-class tech-driven trading firm, is in the process of assembling an advanced Machine Learning/AI team. We are seeking a Senior-level Machine Learning Performance Engineer for a critical role, leading an AI initiative with substantial influence on the firm’s trading systems and strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop scalable machine learning pipelines for training and inference.
  • Dive deep into the mechanics of deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and improve their efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to address and solve performance bottlenecks.
  • Build a comprehensive understanding of complex trading systems to help optimize the performance of large-scale, low-latency infrastructure.


Essential Qualifications:

  • Advanced expertise in deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX) and deep knowledge of computer architecture.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++ and Python.
  • Experience with large-scale distributed training and optimization.


Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of the JAX ecosystem (XLA, Flax, etc.).
  • Expertise in GPU programming and hardware accelerators (CUDA, Triton, etc.).
  • Contributions to open-source machine learning or data science projects.
