Role Description

This is a full-time, base + commission role for a Salesperson at Freedom Fitness Equipment, meaning that daily, you will need to be cold calling, setting appointments/meetings with clients and building your pipeline and relationships. The Salesperson will be responsible for day-to-day tasks associated with selling fitness equipment, generating leads, cold calling, following up with customers, and closing sales. The role is based in Charlotte, NC, but we prefer a salesperson that is building a network and a sales pipeline, so physical location at our warehouse is less important than driving sales and revenue volume in the Carolinas and nationwide.


We are also interested in building this role into something that is more than just sales, but eventually sales strategy where you are growing your position as a subject matter expert, lead in your space, with the support around you to gain attention for yourself and the company you represent to be a powerhouse in the space, something more than just a grinder in the long-run.


Initially, however, this position involves a LOT of cold sales calls, generating your own leads, and building a pipeline, so if you aren't comfortable generating leads and doing cold outreach, this is not the position for you.


We value ethics HIGHLY in this business. If you are the scummy car-salesperson type that does under-the-table deals with clients and vendors, we don't want you. If you are highly trustworthy, dependable, and more interested in establishing LONG multi-year relationships with clients, we want you on our team. We are here to establish long-term relationships with clients through our sales process.


We want an incredibly driven salesperson in this role, someone who can be scrappy, and get the job done. We are looking for a grinder initially, someone who can get a lot of volume and reps in early on to build their sales pipeline, and then develop those relationships long-term.


We are FAR more interested in your history and success rate selling than we are in your education, degree etc. Degrees mean absolutely nothing if you can't demonstrate that you can actually sell product.


Qualifications

  • SIGNIFICANT experience with cold calling and cold outreach
  • Previous experience with Sales CRMs
  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of fitness equipment and the fitness industry, or proven willingness to learn and understand deeply about the fitness industry
  • Ability to work independently and meet sales goals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized
  • Prior experience in outside cold calling sales with measurable, articulated results
