POSITION TITLE: Chief Financial Officer

As a key member of the Executive Management team, the Chief Financial Officer will report to the President and the FCB board of Directors and assume a strategic role in the overall management of the company. The CFO will have primary day-to-day responsibility for planning, implementing, managing and controlling all financial-related activities of the company. This will include direct responsibility for accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and investment management.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Oversee the daily accounting operations in accordance with GAAP, including maintenance and review of general ledger accounts, appropriateness, and timeliness of journal entries, and to ensure all monthly entries have been entered, accrued, or prepaid.
· Provide leadership for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
· Ensure credibility of FCB by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
· Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
· Evaluates and advises on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
· Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
· Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
· Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with GAAP and applicable federal, state and local regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
· Facilitate timely delivery of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial information to both internal and external reporting.
· Oversee and comply with local, state, and federal government tax reporting requirements and filings.
· Provide oversight and support for the reconciliation and accounts payable activities of the Company.
· Participate and assist with the gathering of information for audits and examinations by Regulators and Auditors as needed.
· Develop and document business processes to ensure proper internal control functions are in place and documented.
· Work collaboratively with the Executive Management Team to provide support for annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and annual stress testing processes.
· Provide an on-going review of accounting procedures, systems, and processes to ensure efficiency and implementation of best practices.
· Preparation and maintenance of accounting policies, in collaboration with the Compliance Officer.
· Maintain collaborative cross-functional relationships that create an environment of trust and productivity by providing accounting advice and assistance as appropriate.
· Keep abreast of industry changes and regulatory requirements.
CUSTOMER SERVICE AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
· Assure customer service is provided in a high-quality manner
· Call on existing customers and key prospects in the community
· Active involvement in community and civic organizations, as appropriate to represent the bank in the community
OTHER:
As part of the overall team of bank employees, this position may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, or a related field.
· CPA is preferred.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience leading a high functioning accounting department in a financial institution preferred. 2 years required in Banking.
· Extensive experience with core information systems such as preferred or the ability to learn new software quickly.
· Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
