Must Haves:

• Associates degree, Bachelors degree or technical college, preferably related to media services, multimedia, video production, video streaming, living sound mixing
• Knowledge of current computer hardware, operating systems, client/server and network technologies.
• Proficient in video / audio editing software (adobe, premiere, photoshop, encore)
• Knowledge in digital media (EDID-HDCP), technology used in system integration, visual and audio communication and its use in education
• Understanding of troubleshooting problems in the classroom related to classroom technology
• Customer service, time management, critical thinking
• 2-3 years of experience as an AV Tech or related

Plusses:

• Experience supporting media technology in an educational setting
• Video recording experience

Day to Day Responsibilities:

Insight Global is seeking an AV Technician to oversee departmental videography and postproduction. This will include coordinating team of student employees. They will be responsible for supporting all AV support for the campus by providing a range of hands-on technical assistance in the operations of technology-rich classrooms and meeting areas. They will also assist in the design or redesign of learning spaces, as well as installation of equipment along with preforming preventative maintenance and troubleshooting.

• Coordinating and preforming video recordings, post-productions and distribution of academic events
• Coordinate and train student employees
• Help with presentation planning to enhance information presented through different media
• Troubleshoot medica equipment (hardware, software, networking issues)
• Install classroom technology
• Monitor / collaborate with helpdesk
• Standard equipment set up (computers, data projectors, digital camcorders, audio recorders, etc)
