Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough analytical and data-driven investigations.
  • Perform forensic analysis down to the attribute level within data systems.
  • Manage data lineage and map data as it moves through different hubs.
  • Execute data reconciliation processes.
  • Ensure data quality and address data transformation issues as part of the control framework.
  • Accelerate data remediation efforts.
  • Unravel complex coded logic and document the process.
  • Leverage FR Y-14 regulatory knowledge.
  • Understand wholesale lending products, particularly loans.
  • Implement defined data requirements.
  • Formalize data lineage and data quality rules in enterprise-wide tools.
  • Implement data governance for critical data elements used in risk measurements and reporting.
  • Define and substantiate scope, identify dependencies and use cases.
  • Define test cases, perform UAT, and sign-off for remediation of data concerns and data scorecards.
  • Document Target Record Layout logic for product processors for lending data models in Genesis.


Specific Project Tasks:

A. Developing Detailed Documentation for Loan Data Flows:

  • Document the data flows in a detailed and easily readable manner.
  • Ensure all critical data elements (CDEs) are captured.
  • Capture all systems/tools that the data flows through or which translate/manipulate the data.
  • Capture key mappings and translations.
  • Provide high-level documentation of data models and taxonomy.
  • Document key data quality controls.
  • Work with Product teams, leveraging data analytics techniques and structured interviews/discussions with key stakeholders.

B. Providing Product Development Expertise:

  • Support the analysis and enhancement of data quality control processes for the loan product supporting the FR Y-14 reporting processes.
  • Identify weaknesses and opportunities to improve data quality.
  • Review reconciliations and associated breaks to determine root causes.
  • Develop BRDs for changes to deliver enhancements and resolutions to identified issues.
  • Develop prototypes or small proof-of-concepts on an ad hoc basis to prove out enhancement proposals.
  • Work closely with technology to facilitate delivery of enhancements.
  • Support technology and business in testing delivered enhancements.


Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of FR Y-14 regulatory requirements for Wholesale lending.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and business analysis.
  • Strong understanding of data systems and data attributes.
  • Experience with data lineage, reconciliation, and quality assurance.
  • Ability to identify and resolve data transformation issues.
  • Familiarity with wholesale lending products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • 10-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in IT skills including MS Office Suite, SQL, Collibra, Tableau, Python, and MS Power Apps.
  • Experience with implementing defined data requirements.
  • Experience formalizing data lineage and data quality rules in enterprise-wide tools.
  • Experience implementing data governance for critical data elements used in risk measurements and reporting.
  • Experience defining and substantiating scope, identifying dependencies and use cases.
  • Experience defining test cases, performing UAT, and signing off for remediation of data concerns and data scorecards.
