Research & development at Vaxess is cross-disciplinary, integrating biology, chemistry, immunology, materials science, and engineering to address important unmet medical needs in vaccines and therapeutics. We are seeking a talented, collaborative, and highly motivated individual with expertise in formulation and analytical development to join our core team of scientists and engineers. Responsibilities 

• Support development of novel formulations for skin delivery of vaccines and therapeutics using the MIMIX platform. 

• Perform analytical characterization of formulations for potency and stability.

• Develop or improve existing assays in support of product development goals. 

• Contribute to experimental planning; analyze data, communicate results, and present work in team meetings. 

• Collaborate closely with scientist and engineers to advance novel vaccine and therapeutic candidates from research through Phase I/II clinical trials. 

• Maintain accurate laboratory records and electronic lab notebook entries. 


Qualifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in one of the Life Sciences, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering or Biomedical Engineering with at least 1 year of biopharmaceutical industry experience OR Master’s degree in those fields with 0-2+ years of industry experience. 

• Hands-on experience with formulation development of biologic drugs and/or vaccines. 

• Hands-on experience with biologic characterization techniques, including HPLC, SEC, DLS, CE, ELISA, or other plate-based assays. 

• Experience working with peptides, mRNA, and lipid or polymer delivery systems is highly desirable.

• Experience working in a GxP environment is a plus.  

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. 

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 

• Committed to working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team.
