JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Senior Director of VIP acts as an integral ambassador for KCD and its clients, as well as being a representative of the agency on the West Coast. Senior Directors should represent the agency with strong leadership and communications skills while inspiring both internal and external teams. Candidates should have exceptional management, interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as the capability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and accounts. They should have the appropriate style and taste with an understanding that they represent the global agency.


 RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:

·        Provide support for departmental Vice Presidents and Partners with proactive status updates on a regular basis.

·        Serve as an agency ambassador and lead a collaborative team of both internal and external resources.

·        Act as an agency liaison to further develop the VIP Group’s network and services on the West Coast, building the portfolio of clients across fashion and lifestyle categories.

·        Work with KCD’s new business team to build contracts and define scope of work for new clients.

·        Develop and maintain KCD’s network of talent, while utilizing personal contacts, of talent with VIP stylists, editors, and industry leaders to create authentic VIP experiences.

·        Oversee and manage direct reports in the Los Angeles office across accounts.

·        Develop, lead and manage VIP strategy for new and existing clients to effectively grow their audience and amplify client goals, including strategic partnership opportunities, celebrity/VIP dressing and placements, gifting, and events.

·        Negotiate and execute high-profile VIP/celebrity contracts on behalf of clients in regard to event attendance, red carpet appearances, dressing and paid seeding opportunities, and social media campaigns.

·        Create organic seeding and dressing opportunities on behalf of the brands, including organic events and red-carpet appearances.

·        Report back to clients on the effectiveness of VIP campaigns with clear and concise data that shows brand growth.

·        Have the ability to pivot strategically when necessary.

·        Work closely with KCD’s Guest Experiences Group to manage client events on the West Coast including red carpet events, seated dinners, fashion shows, cocktail parties, industry related events, etc.

·        Manage client events while seamlessly collaborating with their in-house team.

·        Stay ahead of emerging trends, new talent, events, and industry news.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Strong work ethic

·        Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

·        Detail oriented.

·        Time management skills and ability to multitask – this role requires managing many different areas for several clients simultaneously; candidate should not get stressed under pressure.

·        Keen understanding and relevance in industry related matters – this role requires servicing a variety of fashion brands from emerging designers to industry leaders.

·        Combination of creative and strategic thinking with the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to the analytical side.

·        Ability to be a representative of KCD within a variety of Ability to work with clients, understand their needs, and pitch proposals.

·        Ability to work in a team environment and actively promote and engage both colleagues and clients in open communication.

·        Ability to approach challenges head-on with aptitude to make confident decisions and execute on them.

·        Great rapport with industry editors, stylists and other industry-related persons  


REQUIREMENTS:

·        Minimum of 8-12 years of experience working either in house or with an agency in a public relations capacity

·        A degree in Journalism, Communications or English

·        Worldwide travel required.
