We are hiring for a Junior Systems Administrator II to provide 100% onsite support for a Cyber Defensive Systems contract located near Scott Air Force Base, IL.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist with the following activities Install, configure, and troubleshoot server systems (i.e., Windows, Linux, Appliances).
- Work with the team and Lead Engineer to identify, assess, and present options for meeting the functional and technical requirements, which may include hardware and/or software.
- Help with the Management and configuration of VDI environments.
- Document and enforce hardware standards.
- Willingness to learn how to manage and maintain IP addressing schema.
- Works with the team to performs security hardening, patching and server certificate updates.
- Works with Cloud technologies.
- Perform other tasks as directed by Lead Engineers or Project Manager.
- Provide transparent and regular status updates in requested format.
Certifications and Education
- Requires a Bachelors degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience additional years of applicable experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- ITIL training and/or certification.
- Must possess an active DoD 8570, IAT Level II Certification at your start date example Sec+ CE or higher
Position Details:
Clearance: Current and Active Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI
US Citizenship is required
Travel: < 10% (CONUS)
