Department/Unit: Float Pool Work Shift: Night Salary Range: $83,200.00 - $93,184.00 We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Nurse II to join our Float Pool team. This role is pivotal in creating a caring environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. Your contributions will be recognized as vital to our mission of providing exceptional healthcare. Key Responsibilities: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and procedures, and document care according to company policy and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patient conditions. Assess and evaluate patient needs and responses to care provided. Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer medications as prescribed, including over-the-counter and prescriptions. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Direct and guide ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited academic nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts and problem-solving techniques with the ability to apply these in support of patient care quality improvement initiatives.
