Join our dedicated team at Albany Medical Center and contribute to a nurturing environment for patients, families, and colleagues through compassionate care and active engagement. As a Clinical Nurse II in our Vascular Surgery department, you will play a vital role in patient care and outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Executing physician orders, administering medications, starting IVs, performing treatments, and conducting special tests while documenting all actions in line with policies and regulations.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests to accurately assess patients' conditions.
- Evaluating patient needs and responses to care delivered.
- Utilizing sound nursing judgment to manage patient care effectively.
- Providing primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational health issues.
- Administering medications as prescribed, whether over-the-counter or prescription.
- Collaborating with fellow nursing staff to develop a comprehensive Plan of Care for each patient.
- Guiding and supervising ancillary personnel while upholding professional nursing standards.
