This role includes executing conduit runs, pulling and routing wire, assisting with terminations, and preparing for journeyman certification. The Electrician I applies safe work practices, interprets basic drawings, and begins to take ownership of assigned scopes.Responsibilities:Installation Execution: Install conduit systems (EMT, RMC, PVC, flex) per drawings and layout instructionsPull branch circuit and control wiring using cable pullers and guidesAssist in terminations of panels, junction boxes, devices, and field equipmentInstall cable trays, strut supports, and raceways as directedDrawing Interpretation & Layout: Read and follow single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and installation drawingsIdentify routing paths, box locations, and wire tagsMark layout positions for boxes, outlets, and equipment using measurement toolsSafety & Clean Work Practices: Follow LOTO procedures and energized work restrictions strictlyMaintain safe use of ladders, lifts, and power toolsUse torque tools and document connections when required by spec or QADocumentation & Support: Begin filling out daily progress reports or log sheets (e.g., conduit installed, wire pulled)Tag wires, label boxes, and maintain labeling disciplineAssist with redline updates and as-built drawing verification as assignedMinimum Qualifications/Requirements:Education: Highschool diploma or equivalent1-3 years of electrical field experienceTechnical Skills: Clear knowledge of electrical PPE, arc flash risk, and proper tool useProficient with basic electrical hand and power toolsUnderstanding of wire types, insulation ratings, and color codingFamiliar with installation tolerances, bend radii, and conduit support spacingCapable of passing electrical safety and LOTO training for task-level workFamiliarity with NEC standards, local code requirements, and safe work procedures is preferredInterpersonal Skills: Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work habitsPhysical Requirements: Capable of lifting materials, working on ladders/lifts, and standing for long periods of timePreferred Qualifications:Active participation in an apprenticeship or electrical training programFamiliarity with NEC standards, local code requirements, and safe work proceduresShift Expectations: TSMC Arizona operates 24/7, 365 days a year. This position requires candidate to have ability and willingness to work any shift (day or night) in a compressed work week schedule once training is done. The compressed work week shift structure is Work 4 days on, 3 days off for one week and 3 days on, 4 days off the next week.
