Android Developer

Option for fully REMOTE - MUST currently live in PHX metro area

Position Summary:

We are looking for a proficient Android Developer to join our mobile development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Android fundamentals and be capable of building high-quality, performant applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy innovative mobile applications.

Principal Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and deploy Android applications using Java/Kotlin, following industry best practices
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create user-friendly and visually appealing mobile interfaces
• Integrate RESTful APIs and third-party libraries to enhance app functionality
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications
• Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team
• Debug and troubleshoot issues in production and development environments
• Stay updated with the latest Android development trends, tools, and technologies
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to ensure project goals are met

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• 3+ years of experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of published applications
• Proficiency in Java and Kotlin, with a solid understanding of Android SDK, frameworks, and libraries
• Experience with Android Studio, Gradle, and version control systems like Git
• Strong understanding of core Android components such as Activities, Fragments, Services, and Broadcast Receivers
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, JSON, and third-party libraries like Retrofit, OkHttp, and Glide
• Experience with modern Android architectures, including MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture
• Knowledge of mobile app testing tools and techniques, including unit testing and UI testing
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Google Play Store release processes is a plus

Location:

• Phoenix, AZ
• Ability to work remote, but MUST currently live in PHX metro area

Pay:

• $70 - $75 / hr

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (flexible)
