I am seeking a detail-oriented and analytical FP&A Associate to join our dynamic team in Stamford, CT. As a key member of my client's Finance team, you will focus on analytics and valuation, contributing to the financial planning and analysis functions of a leading Community Solar IPP in the North East growing community solar IPP. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in both typical FP&A tasks and specialized projects, including company and individual project valuations, as well as ad hoc reporting. The ideal candidate will be required to work in the office at least three days a week.


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop, maintain, and enhance financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
  • Analyze financial and operational results to understand performance and trends.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.

Valuation & Analytics:

  • Conduct valuation analyses of companies and individual solar projects, utilizing methodologies such as DCF, IRR, and yield analysis.
  • Perform detailed financial analysis to support investment decisions, project development, and M&A activities.
  • Monitor and report on key financial metrics, including IRR and yields, to assess project viability and performance.

Ad Hoc Reporting:

  • Produce ad hoc financial and operational reports as requested by senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary data and ensure the accuracy and timeliness of reports.

Business Partnering:

  • Work closely with the finance team and other departments to support strategic initiatives and operational improvements.
  • Provide financial insights and decision support to project managers and other key stakeholders.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes, reporting, and systems.
  • Implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, valuation, or a related role.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with financial software and ERP systems is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
