Salary: $24-25/hour – Based on experience

We are currently seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join our team and help ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.


About the Role:

The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up and operating a press brake to bend, shape, cut, and manipulate sheet metal and other materials according to specifications. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of manufacturing processes.


Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to understand project specifications.
  • Adjust machine settings, including backstop, ram stroke, and material thickness, to ensure precise bends.
  • Select appropriate tools and dies based on job specifications and material type.
  • Inspect parts during and after production to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools.
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Maintain accurate records of production, including material usage, job progress, and completed work.
  • Work closely with other machine operators, fabricators, and supervisors to ensure efficient production flow.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication and press brake operation.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
  • Proficiency with measuring tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
  • Experience with CNC machinery is a plus.
  • Certifications:
  • Press brake operator certification is a plus.


Work Environment:

  • The work is performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • The role requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection.


Physical Demands:

  • Frequent lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
