Key Responsibilities:


Daily activities include, but are not limited to:


  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and project managers to ensure the delivery of desired functionality, requirements, and interoperability of the system of systems.
  • Design and architect integration solutions for NG911 systems to ensure seamless communication between different components.
  • Ensure stable enterprise and system of systems architecture by following engineering and architectural best practices.
  • Lead the implementation of integration solutions, including configuring middleware, developing APIs, and setting up communication protocols.
  • Conduct comprehensive end-to-end testing discussions, provide test cases for SAT and SIT, and identify areas for automation and scripting wherever possible.
  • Review test results for accuracy and validate against architectural deliverables.


Mandatory Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree with no less than 12 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture and Infrastructure Engineering within the Public Safety (PS) environment.
  • Excellent technical architecture skills, enabling the creation of future-proof public safety solutions.
  • Experience building and supporting mission-critical infrastructure for critical applications, running in a highly distributed manner.
  • Experience in large-scale integration efforts involving multiple technologies, virtual infrastructures, end-user agencies, and/or contractors.
  • Experience with SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and RTP (Real-Time Protocol).
  • Experience with monitoring tools within NG911 systems.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in a specific technical and/or business application, product, platform, methodology, or skill set.
  • Knowledge of system integration techniques and the ability to design systems that work seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Subject Matter Expert of Enterprise Integration for multiple complex applications within the Public Safety domain.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in various technology stacks, platforms, and architectures.
  • Proficiency in system design principles, software architecture, and understanding of hardware components.


Desirable Qualifications:


  • Experience in creating clear and comprehensive requirements documentation.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies (learning agility).
  • Clear understanding of the systems development lifecycle, challenges, prospective delays, and experience in resolving such issues.
  • Experience overseeing multiple projects from a technical perspective.
  • Experience with multi-tier system development for large enterprises.
  • Ability to design a strategy around a defined application or process.
  • Integration, engineering, and testing background for Public Safety Answering Center System of Systems.
