We are seeking an Environment Scientist 3 to join our East Hartford, CT team Come join us

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage Phase I, II and III ESAs.
  • Prepare CT Transfer Act Milestone documents. Completion of Investigation reports and Remedial Action Reports.
  • Mentor and lead junior staff.
  • Strong understanding of environmental field practices; environmental media sampling, soil and groundwater investigation, remediation oversight.
  • Design, construction and O&M of remediation systems.
  • Prepare remediation bid documents.
  • Stormwater Compliance experience a plus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time and task-management skills.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in geology, environmental science or similar field of study.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience.
  • Thorough knowledge of CT Environmental Standards and Regulations.
  • Strong technical writing skills. Must be able to prepare reports independently and with limited direction.
  • Strong project management skills.


Technical Experience:

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Connecticut Property Transfer Law.
  • Current OSHA HAZWOPER Certification.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc.)


Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • CT LEP or LEP Track.
  • AutoCAD and GIS proficient.
  • Ability to pass a MVR.
  • Ability to travel within Connecticut with opportunities to travel throughout New England.


Compensation:

$85k - $105k Yearly

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
