Job Summary

This role supports the IT Security team and will lead the execution of IT delivery for security

projects. Experienced Program/Project Manager who has previous experience working with

extensive, complex, multi-year Infrastructure and Security projects, preferably in Privilege

Account Management (CyberArk) is preferred. The IT Security Technical Project Manager will

manage all required project tasks, ensure the quality of deliverables, and coordinate directly

with client and corporate leadership and system stakeholders. The Senior IT Security Technical

PM utilizes advanced knowledge of architecture to design, develop, and implement network

security tools and infrastructure related to Active Directory monitoring, intrusion prevention

systems, security information and event management, and vulnerability management

systems. Provides guidance and recommendations related to IT Security policies and controls.

Job Requirements

  • 12 - 15 years of technical experience in IT Security/cybersecurity.
  • 12 - 15 years of experience with Project Management.
  • 12+ years of experience with maintaining IT security policies, processes, and guidance.
  • Strong leadership experience leading small teams and interacting with client
  • leadership.
  • Professional experience with a solid understanding of incident response, insider threat
  • investigations, forensics, cyber threats, and information security.
  • Experience with applying the NIST Cybersecurity Framework.
  • Experience with developing and managing continuous monitoring and plans of action
  • and milestones (POA&M).
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills and experience.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively articulate and advise security requirements to various audiences including management, business stakeholders, and technical staff.
  • Experience working with Cyber Security Assessment and Management (CSAM) tool
  • (REQUIRED).
  • Ability to work alone and in a team environment equally proficiently.
  • Works with businesses to gather requirements and scope large-scale and complex
  • projects.
  • Facilitates the selection of the ultimate solution for the business and conducts
  • cost/benefit analysis on the alternatives.
  • Oversees the execution of all aspects of the project implementation for large-scale
  • corporative initiatives, which may include cost benefits analysis, work plans, functional
  • and technical designs, construction testing, and implementation.
  • Ensures efficient and high-quality installation of new software and /or systems and
  • monitors all technical aspects of implementing projects.
  • Provides both verbal and written communications regarding project status, risks, and
  • issues, and makes recommendations on project decisions to Program Manager and
  • Senior Management.
  • Works with the business areas in the operational readiness activities to provide support
  • and coordination to ensure the adoption of new systems and business processes.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Completes all required compliance training. Maintains knowledge of and adheres to
  • Flagstar’s internal compliance policies and procedures. Takes responsibility to keep up
  • to date with changing regulations and policies.


GOOD TO HAVE AT LEAST ONE:

Security Certification: CISSP, CISM, CAP, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
