Job Overview

As the International Medical Education Manager at Exact Sciences, you'll work closely with our International Medical HQ team and US-based Headquarters to develop and deliver internal and external medical communications content, medical materials, and training programs for all Ex-US International markets. Your focus will be on supporting the objectives for novel assays that lead to improved treatment decisions for breast cancer patients, particularly the Oncotype DX Breast Recurrence Score Assay. You'll be part of a dynamic team that includes Europe, Canada, Africa, Asia Pacific, Latin America, and more.

Key responsibilities include developing medical communication materials, creating content for medical education, congress activities, and internal training materials. This role is based in our Warsaw office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan science-based content as part of the medical/brand plan based on strategy and team priorities.
  • Develop internal and external Medical Communications materials (including digital and Medical Scientific Liaison materials).
  • Regularly update existing Medical materials.
  • Obtain approval of materials and communicate new content to regional and local medical teams; may include providing training and updates at Medical team meetings.
  • Support International advisory boards/International Congresses including satellite symposia with slide developments.
  • Support marketing in accurate, unbiased material development.
  • Stay updated on recent trends and techniques in Medical Education content creation including AI.
  • Review and provide input on international HQ developed content.
  • Provide backup support to Medical Information requests and standard letter development.
  • Collect and provide metrics on quality of delivered materials.
  • Contribute to best practice sharing and development of common standards, metrics, and systems.
  • Maintain and expand therapy area and product knowledge.
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures.
  • Ability to act with an inclusion mindset and model these behaviors for the organization.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.

Requirements
  • Masters degree.
  • Medical/Pharmaceutical or Health Science background.
  • 4-6 years of industry experience (working in medical affairs - pharma/biotech/med tech, and/or Medical Communication Agency). Experience in Diagnostics or Biotech industry is a plus.
  • 3-5 years experience in Medical Communication or Medical Education content creation.
  • Working knowledge of copyright laws.
  • Expertise in Oncology a plus.
  • Personal leadership, accountability, strong interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to perform in-depth medical literature research, analysis, and interpretation to develop medical materials.
  • Proficiency in the use of literature searching databases.
  • Knowledge of MedTech and regulatory guidelines affecting the dissemination of medical information and product promotion preferred.
  • Proven record of working in a matrix environment and delivering as part of a cross-functional remote team. Strong across/above market experience desired.
  • Solid track record of multi-project management and execution.
  • Experience in education of internal teams (e.g. Commercial and Medical teams).
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Excellent English, multiple languages preferred.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and other IT systems.
  • Experience with Adobe Creator and other tools to create and visualize scientific content.
  • Experience with VEEVA systems for material review is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to independently deliver quality results in a timely manner.
  • Track record of delivering innovative medical activities across markets.
