Job Summary

Plans and directs the operational, budgetary and personnel activities of the inpatient and outpatient EPCD Laboratory services.  Develops services, policies, procedures, resource plans, and coordinates department programs, services and activities with other departments and services to meet overall hospital goals and objectives.  Responsible for management and supervision of department staff.

Work Experience:

Seven years in a Management/Supervisor capacity in a Regional/Reference Lab Environment, with a strong background in a Laboratory Services.

 

License/Registration/Certification:

ASCP Board Certified as a Medical Technologist or Medical laboratory Scientist (MLS) required.

 

Education and Training:

Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology required. Master’s degree in related field required.

  3. Knowledge of budget preparations, purchasing bookkeeping and personnel management.
