The Opportunity
Everyday Health Group Pregnancy & Parenting is searching for a Senior Manager, Social Media Content for BabyCenter and What to Expect. You will be responsible for developing engaging, brand-building social-first content for Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and other platforms. An ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience as a social content creator and manager, is willing to become deeply engaged in online mom culture, and brings fresh ideas about how to connect our brands with Millennial and Gen Z women. This role reports to the Senior Director, Multi-Platform Content Strategy, and sits on a team of social media specialists and video producers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage social media content calendars for BabyCenter and What to Expect, with an initial focus on Instagram and TikTok.
- Develop platform-relevant content that clearly articulates the value propositions of these brands through creative storytelling, thoughtful use of social trends, and humor.
- Collaborate with the video team and Associate Social Media Producer to ideate, shoot, and edit social-first videos.
- Collaborate with editorial leadership to develop and execute cross-platform content franchises and ensure key moments are integrated into the social media calendar.
- Manage Assistant Social Media Editor.
Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent experience in digital marketing, journalism, communications, or similar.
- 5+ years of experience in social media, preferably for a women’s lifestyle and/or pregnancy/baby brand.
- A strong portfolio of social-first content, including experience ideating, storyboarding, and scripting short-form videos for TikTok and Instagram Reels.
- Proven ability to craft brand-appropriate copy that drives action while maintaining a cohesive voice.
- Sound editorial judgment and media literacy skills, with the ability to follow a designated style guide and fact-check as needed.
