Location: Charlotte, NC


Schedule: M-F Normal business hours


Pay: $75K-$85K DOE


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
  • Stay updated on new and changing regulations and implement necessary changes to company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular EHS risk assessments and audits.
  • Identify potential hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to minimize accidents and injuries.
  • Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees at all levels.
  • Ensure all staff are adequately trained in safety protocols and emergency procedures.
  • Lead investigations into EHS incidents and near-misses.
  • Identify root causes and develop corrective and preventive action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs and initiatives, including emergency response plans, hazardous materials management, and waste reduction strategies.
  • Track and report on key EHS metrics.
  • Prepare and submit required reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in EHS practices. Lead initiatives to enhance the company’s EHS culture and performance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date EHS documentation, including policies, procedures, training records, and incident reports.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Biology, Chemistry or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in an EHS role, 1-2 years of experience within Chemical manufacturing.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001
  • Experience with Process Safety Management
  • Experience Wastewater Treatment
