Job DescriptionJob Description Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. A skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is sought for a full-time, onsite position serving a K-12 day center with a Severe Cognitive Impairment (SCI) population. This contract role starts immediately and continues through May 22, 2026, located in Michigan. The position requires experienced professionals holding an SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with expertise in school-based speech therapy. Candidates must be eligible to serve K-12 students and demonstrate proficiency in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and assistive technology (AT) devices. Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations and therapy to K-12 students with severe cognitive impairments Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs Utilize AAC and AT devices to support communication development Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective intervention Manage caseloads within Michigans maximum limit of 60 students (exact caseload discussed during interview) Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations governing school-based therapy services Qualifications: Valid Michigan Speech-Language Pathologist license (no SLP-Clinical Fellow or SLPA accepted) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA Experience working with an SCI population in a school setting preferred Skilled in AAC and AT use for augmenting communication Ability to work onsite full-time within a K-12 school environment Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Location: Westland, MI Benefits: Opportunity to work in a specialized school setting supporting students with significant communication challenges Contract duration through May 2026 enabling stable employment with continuity of care Collaborative team environment with multidisciplinary support Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply promptly.
