Job DescriptionJob DescriptionMaster's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a K-12 day center serving a Severe Cognitive Impairment (SCI) population in Monroe County, Michigan. This onsite position is contracted through the current school year, from ASAP through 5/22/2026. The role requires direct work with students using AAC and assistive technology (AT) devices, providing specialized therapy tailored to this unique population.Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive speech-language services to K-12 students with severe cognitive impairmentsUtilize AAC and AT devices to enhance communication outcomesManage caseload in compliance with Michigans maximum limit of 60 students; specific caseload to be clarified during interviewCollaborate with educational staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student needsMaintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state guidelinesParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) development and implementationQualifications:Valid Speech-Language Pathologist license with CCC certification; candidates with SLP-CF or SLPA credentials will not be consideredExperience working in school settings with K-12 populations preferredFamiliarity with SCI populations and usage of AAC/AT devicesStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to work onsite full time in an educational day center environmentLocation:Monroe County, MIBenefits include the opportunity to work within a dedicated school environment focused on supporting students with severe cognitive impairments, with a contract through the remainder of the current school year.Qualified candidates prepared to contribute their expertise in speech-language pathology are encouraged to apply promptly to be considered for this specialized role supporting students in Monroe County.
