Key Responsibilities:
- Design, present, and implement successful customer projects within proposed budgets and timelines. Provide project oversight to ensure engagement execution within budget, including obtaining change orders when necessary.
- Quickly prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment across multiple customers, ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
- Prepare presales design documentation, implementation documentation, and advanced procedures related to customer networks, systems software, and hardware.
- Provide next-level support for escalations from the Managed Services team and/or Secondary Engineers.
- Contribute to product selection, research, configuration standards, and best practices. Educate sales teams on products and services.
- Perform tasks including presales project design, documentation, and presentation; configuration and maintenance of network infrastructure; monitoring systems to ensure adherence to Best Practices; disaster recovery planning and documentation; server/storage design and implementation; Active Directory design, troubleshooting, and maintenance; Azure Cloud services design and implementation; and virtualization support and configuration.
Required Experience:
- Experience as a Secondary Engineer or equivalent work experience.
- Leading IT projects from design through implementation, including project management.
- Documenting IT infrastructure, such as network diagrams, IT processes, and procedures.
- Identifying issues, analyzing data, and designing solutions to remediate those issues.
Preferred Experience:
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory.
- Designing and implementing Small to Medium Business solutions (500 seats and under).
- Cloud implementation experience.
- Designing and implementing Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Troubleshooting general network issues.
- Related Information Technology field experience.
