Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join our manufacturing company's finance team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities, expertise in financial modeling and forecasting, and proficiency in Excel. This role will primarily focus on analyzing Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), revenue, and budget forecasting to provide strategic insights and support decision-making processes within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:


  1. Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Support the annual budgeting process by assisting in the development of financial models and forecasts.
  • Work closely with department heads to gather budget inputs and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Track budget variances and provide explanations for deviations from targets.
  • Continuously refine forecasting models to improve accuracy and efficiency.


COGS Analysis:

  • Analyze and monitor Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) trends, including material costs, labor expenses, and overhead costs.
  • Identify cost drivers and assess their impact on the company's profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce production costs.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.


Revenue Analysis:

  • Conduct revenue analysis by examining sales trends, pricing strategies, and market dynamics.
  • Evaluate the performance of product lines and customer segments to identify growth opportunities.
  • Assist in pricing decisions and revenue forecasting to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to revenue generation and recommend actionable insights.


Excel Proficiency:

  • Utilize advanced Excel functions and tools to analyze large datasets and create dynamic financial models.
  • Automate repetitive tasks and streamline processes to enhance productivity.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues on Excel techniques and best practices.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA designation is a plus.
  • Proven experience (X years) in financial analysis, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex formulas.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and financial planning software is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
