Bluestone Investment Partners, a private equity firm in the Washington-Metro area, is seeking an experienced, full-time Administrative Assistant / Office Manager to join our team. Bluestone focuses on investing in middle-market defense and government technology companies and our senior investment professionals have decades of experience acquiring, operating, and selling companies in the sector.


The Administrative Assistant / Office Manager will provide administrative support to the Partners and other members of the operations team.


Responsibilities:

  • Answer and direct phone calls and communicate appropriate information to callers trying to contact a member of the team who may be unavailable or out of the office
  • Organize and schedule meetings/conference calls and arrange location/call details
  • Manage domestic travel arrangements, including transportation and accommodations, as well as preparing detailed itineraries and coordinating materials
  • Order office supplies and manage vendors 
  • Create copies and scans, as well as print and bind presentations 
  • Maintain contact lists
  • Support planning and logistics related to firm events
  • Provide general support to visitors and setup for meetings as needed 
  • Assist with technology as needed 


Requirements and Skills:

  • 3+ years of proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or Office Manager
  • Experience working in the financial industry or professional services is preferred
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Self-starter with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
  • Detail-oriented and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Familiarity with office technology and equipment, including Wi-Fi networks, computers, scanners, printers, phone systems, etc.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require now, or in the future, visa sponsorship
