Field Service Technician

So, we are looking for a dedicated Field Service Technician for a full-time position, primarily emphasizing the mechanical aspects of our machinery.


The ideal candidate will have a wide range of responsibilities including maintenance, repair, and calibration of field equipment. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who is responsive to customers' needs; up to 75% travel (mostly domestic).

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment at the customer’s facility and make the necessary adjustments to bring equipment up to running status
  • Resolve service requirements over the phone if possible
  • Work with suppliers to resolve technical issues at customer sites
  • Travel to both domestic and international customer locations
  • Make recommendations to repair/replace only items that require repair/replacement


Qualifications


  • 3-6 years of experience in a hands-on mechanical/electrical environment
  • Must be able to work in a multi-disciplined engineering environment, often under pressure-filled conditions
  • Must have experience in dealing with customers to resolve problems
  • The ability to read drawings, reference manuals and assembly systems instruction guides is essential
  • Must have experience and be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel


This is a full-time employment position with excellent benefits. Benefits start on the 31st day of employment

Travel bonus:

  • Weekday: $50.00 per day for each day when you have worked more than 4 hours at our customer’s facility and required to remain over-night.
  • Weekend Day: For each working or non-working weekend day, you will receive $150.00 for international and $100.00 for domestic trips. Domestic travel includes Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic.
