Job description

The professional staff at Howard Industries, which includes some of the foremost authorities in the transformer industry, maintains a standard of production that adheres to the industry’s most stringent guidelines for safe, reliable, energy-efficient performance.


Electronic Technician positions are available in the Research & Development department working with factory automation systems. Job responsibilities include design, construction, installation, and maintenance of machine control and instrumentation systems. Other job responsibilities may include:

  • Calibration of electronic instruments and systems
  • PLC control system design and programming


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:

  • Two-year degree in electronics or equivalent formal classroom training is required


Preferred Requirements:

  • Practical experience in design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and electronic control systems
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
