The Senior Project Engineer will be based in Houston and will report directly to the Engineering Manager.
The Project Engineer is a member of one or more Project Management Teams (PMT) and provides multidiscipline engineering support related to project scoping, design, design assurance, hazard analysis,
technology selection, and permitting for the front end of development projects in Pre-Concept, Concept
Select, and FEED Stages.
This position has responsibility for working with other Project Development & Engineering team members,
Regulatory, Third Parties, Internal and External Stakeholders in order to coordinate the input of all project
requirements.
The Project Development and Engineering Team will be located in Company's Houston office. The Senior
Project Engineer will support E&C Engineering Manager and will be required to work in selected EPC
contractor's home offices as necessary during project development. Occasional travel to sites will be
needed to work with contractors to support site investigation and development work.

KNOWLEDGE:
Possesses knowledge of engineering for gas processing, natural gas and LNG (or other cryogenic
hydrocarbon liquids) transportation and storage. Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations,
engineering codes and standards, regulating the design and construction of LNG Plants and facilities.
Knowledge of FERC, PHMSA, USCG, DOT and OSHA regulations.
Knowledge and understanding of all phases of project development and engineering studies and design
development required for each stage of project definition. Knowledge of Process Hazard Analysis including
HAZID, HAZOPS, LOPA and facility siting studies.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
• Support Multi-Discipline Engineering Teams to successfully deliver all phases of E&C projects from
Pre-Concept, Concept Select, and Define (FEED) stages.
• Support completion of Engineering deliverables on projects with regards to scope, schedule,
quality, and efficiency.
• Manage communication of project milestones and deliverables to the Contractor and Engineering
team through close collaboration with Project Development Managers and Engineering Managers.
• Develop Basis of Design, Scope, Statement of Requirements and Basic Engineering Data for E&C
Projects.

• Work with Supply Chain Management to define technical requirements and engineering
deliverables in contracts. Solicit and evaluate bids for project scope of work and labor.
• Assist in development and provide technical input into Capital Committee Memorandums, Business
Cases, and Project Execution Plans.
• Manage the Design Assurance of project deliverables for each phase of E&C Projects.
• Support the development of engineering specifications and standards.
• Support the development of Resource Reports and other technical documentation required for
permitting of new and expanded LNG facilities.
• Assess technical risks and technical challenges and provide appropriate mitigation plans.
• Participate in project risk, process, constructability, cold eyes, HAZID / HAZOP, and other safety
reviews as required.
• Ensure assigned Projects meet agreed deadlines, budgets, and objective. Keep E&C engineering
manager informed of any technical, schedule or cost impacts.

QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS):
• Education and Certifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering and a Professional Engineering
License in good standing with at least one state is preferred.
• Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in Engineering in Design, Project Development and/or
Operations within the LNG and oil and gas industry. Minimum 5 years project engineerng
experience on development projects (preferably LNG projects).
• Skills:
o Strong leadership and effective management and organizational skills.
o Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills across multiple levels
o Organized and able to manage multiple activities and programs timely and with a high
degree of accuracy.
o Must be flexible and able to work effectively in a team environment and consistently
maintain a professional and respectful demeanor/attitude with co-workers, clients,
vendors and regulatory agencies.
o Must be self-motivated with high-energy drive and business sense. o Ability to
establish and maintain strong relationships. o Exceptional problem solving and
analytical skills. o Computer literate with typical office packages and basic
computer literacy.
o Familiar with FERC and PHMSA regulatory requirements
o Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good
standing status.
FREEDOM TO ACT:
The Senior Project Engineer is an expert in their field and has a high degree of aptitude in their field and
requires minimal supervision and can multi-task and function in a highly dynamic atmosphere; must
exercise discretion independently.
WORK CONDITIONS:

• Job is performed in an office setting.
• Occasionally, work may be performed from home, after normal work hours or on weekends.
• Limited travel required, as business conditions dictate to plant sites.
• Subject to drug and alcohol testing, per applicable federal regulations or as required by the
company.
