Job Description: The Phlebotomist I supports patient care by greeting patients, answering questions with compassion, and maintaining the integrity of the waiting area. This role involves direct interaction with patients, creating an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures clearly and respectfully. The individual will assist with lobby operations, support phlebotomy staff during breaks, and receive training to develop phlebotomy skills. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and professional environment, completing documentation accurately, and promoting a positive image to patients, clients, and coworkers. Requirement/Must Have: Ability to handle patients with care and compassion. Ability to assist with check-ins using a self-service kiosk or handheld tablet. Willingness to learn phlebotomy skills. Commitment to perform specimen collection and processing duties once trained. Strong customer service experience and skills. Experience: 1-2 years of client-facing customer service experience. Keyboard/data entry experience. No prior phlebotomy experience required. Responsibilities: Greet patients and support them through the check-in process. Maintain the lobby and support patient flow. Assist with breaks when phlebotomists are unavailable. Learn and develop phlebotomy skills. Maintain documentation and records. Support a safe and professional work environment. Promote a positive and professional image to patients and staff. Qualification And Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
