Job Summary:

Addium, Inc. is seeking a proactive Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering Technician to support our hardware development team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can take charge of build processes, identify what needs to be done, and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness. 


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with NetSuite and VKS (work instructions) authors to develop, refine, and follow build instructions.
  • Create mechanical drawings, research parts, source prototype parts, and build prototypes.
  • Help debug and resolve mechanical issues
  • Design and build test fixtures for assembly
  • Coordinate and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), including obtaining necessary compliance information (ROHS3/Reach etc), pricing, availability, and evaluating alternate parts. 
  • Foster clear and effective communication with the engineering team and other departments to streamline workflows, remove obstacles, and enable engineers to perform at their best.


Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Experience with 3D modeling software; Solidworks experience is preferred.
  • Supportive and enabling personality with a strong commitment to team success.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with mechanical tools and techniques, including calipers, screwdrivers, multimeters, and soldering irons.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting dimensional drawings and datasheets.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills and clerical experience, particularly in organizing R&D projects.  
  • Familiarity with task management software; Jira experience is preferred.


Qualifications

  • An Associate of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering role, or a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering role.
