The Marketing Content Creator for SEG is an integral person within the organization. They are responsible for creating engaging content to grab the attention of couples looking for their perfect wedding venue. Through amazing photos, creative social media posts, interesting and helpful blog articles, consistent and effective written and visual advertising, the Marketing Content Creator is the storyteller of the most important day of our couple’s lives.
Saphire Event Group is a family-run business built on four decades of creating milestone events, and at the center of each is the perfect backdrop. SEG represents four distinct Boston-area venues, each designed for life’s most significant occasions. For our couples, no detail is too small, and no dream too big. Across each of our properties, we pride ourselves on elevated service, signature cuisine, and all-encompassing hospitality. Our job isn’t done until every expectation is exceeded.
Duties will include:
- Works with Director in developing marketing and advertising campaigns, including ads for social media, local media advertisements, and any other avenues to make SEG services known.
- Knowledgeable in all social media platforms including but not limited to: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest
- Creating innovative content, engagement campaigns and content calendars for all platforms.
- Creation and submission of “Real Weddings” to various publications.
- Compiles photos, stories, information, etc., for all mediums.
- Works with vendors to obtain photos and approvals.
- Executes photo shoots, marketing events, tastings, etc.
- Works with the SEO consultant and Graphic Designer to ensure all content and photos are current and the website is optimized.
- Coordinates with PR company, Graphic Designer, Printer, and SEO Consultant on all marketing campaigns.
- Measures ad effectiveness and conversions and optimizes as needed.
- Works with the Sales department to develop new sales funnels, ad campaigns, and promotions.
- Discovers new opportunities for SEG to participate in local community activities, events, fundraisers, etc., to promote SEG products.
- Updates and maintains photo library in digital asset manager
- Discovers new partnership opportunities for marketing SEG across social media channels
- Creates and publishes quarterly newsletter and e-blast.
- Assists with the annual budget for ad campaigns, including internet and magazine campaigns.
- Creates budgets for monthly advertising on social media.
- Works to get reviews posted on social media, wedding sites, wedding magazines, etc.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Interacts positively and exudes professional behavior and communications with employees, clients, and vendors to foster and support kindness in the workplace.
- Maintains quality of service by establishing and enforcing SEG policy, protocols and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned
- Schedule may consist of some evenings and weekends as needed
- Travel to all venues required
Desired Skills
- Detail, yet deadline oriented
- Excellent copywriting and creative writing skills
- Ability to create unique, engaging and effective content across mediums
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
- Graphic Design — experience with Adobe Creative Suite: PS, ID, AI
- Experience with photography and video editing a plus
