Senior Designer Overview: As the Senior Graphic Designer specializing in men's licensed apparel, you will have a passion for fashion, a keen eye for detail, and strong management skills to lead the design efforts in the men's lounge and underwear apparel category. This role requires a creative visionary who can transform concepts into compelling designs that resonate with our target audience and align with our brand partners' aesthetics.


Senior Designer Responsibilities:

  • Design Leadership: Lead the design process for men's lounge and underwear apparel, from initial concept to final product. Ensure all designs are innovative, on-trend, and align with brands' standards of quality and creativity.
  • Graphics and All-Over Print Design: Excel in creating unique graphics and all-over print designs that stand out in the market. Ensure all designs are visually appealing and aligned with brand guidelines.
  • Trend Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and market movements. Conduct market research to inform and inspire fresh design ideas that appeal to our customer base.
  • Brand Integration: Seamlessly incorporate licensed characters and brand elements from partners like Warner Brothers, DC Comics, Nickelodeon, and Peanuts into apparel designs, ensuring each piece tells a story and engages the consumer.
  • Team Management: Lead a small team of junior designers, managing day-to-day tasks and fostering a collaborative and creative team environment. Provide clear direction, constructive feedback, and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Project Management: Oversee multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. Coordinate with other departments to align on timelines and deliverables.
  • Approval Process: Manage the approval process of licensed products, ensuring designs meet licensor standards and obtain necessary approvals. Work closely with licensors to address feedback and make revisions.
  • Factory Coordination: Collaborate with factories to ensure designs are produced accurately and efficiently. Maintain strong communication with factories to address any production issues and ensure quality standards.
  • Tight Timelines: Effectively manage projects within tight timelines, balancing the demands of licensors, production schedules, and internal deadlines.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve design processes to increase efficiency and quality. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline workflow.


Senior Designer Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of graphic design experience in the apparel industry, especially in licensed characters.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Fashion Design, or a related field is great.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and have strong illustration skills.
  • Experience working with licensed characters and brands is a must, and having experience in men's apparel design is a big bonus.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, and be able to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.
