Senior Technical Accountant

The Technical Accounting Specialist will be responsible for managing and overseeing the lease accounting processes. This role requires a deep understanding of technical accounting principles, particularly related to lease transactions, and the ability to apply these principles to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting. In this direct hire opportunity, you could earn between $70,000 and $120,000 per year depending on years of experience.


Responsibilities:

  • Ensure lease accounting practices comply with ASC 842, interpreting and implementing new standards and updates
  • Oversee accounting and reporting of all lease transactions, including classification, measurement, and modifications
  • Prepare and review lease-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and disclosures for financial statements
  • Provide technical accounting guidance to the finance team and other departments
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • Minimum of 3 years in a corporate accounting position with a large company
  • CPA preferred
  • knowledge of Lease accounting preferred
