Role Description:


A Technology leader with strong technology, process and change background, including experience of "scale delivery" on large Transformational Programs.

We are looking for individuals who have the gravitas and experience to instill confidence in the customer leveraging their technology expertise focused on IT Infrastructure Transformations. A skilled negotiator who can reflect with client on their current IT landscape, assess potential areas for transformation, propose new technology solutions, steer the customer and gain agreement to new proposals.


Engaging with solutions teams to help shape workable plans into "delivery ready" solutions for customer review in sales/solution cycle. With full responsibility of the Program end to end, including contract negotiation and shift into live mobilization.

The Program Director is responsible for ensuring the solution is aligned to the needs of the customer; operationally informed; commercially astute; and offers lean and effective processes. Working closely with the business heads, pre-sales, account executives and other sponsors within Wipro; including across Global Business Lines (GBL).

Oversee the day-to-day development and delivery of solutions through the stages of mobilization, design, implementation and into BAU steady state. Engaging the service teams via a culture of trust to manage pro-actively cost and margin towards continuous improvement. A key tenet is the ability to use sustainable and cost-effective globalized delivery.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Create and drive business led "delivery transformation" ensuring that appropriate integrated plans are generated and aligned across Wipro service lines to meet commitments.
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of the program 'end to end' - delivering the required outcomes and success criteria with accountability for value creation and achieving the required contractual, operational, and financial performance.
  • At the solutioning stage, clearly define the shape and structure of the program and ensure clarity of scope around milestone delivery to enable revenue collection at agreed junctures throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Responsible for leading a large global multi-faceted team; providing thought leadership, direction, guidance, coaching and mentoring. Identify & develop key talent whilst ensuring the team are continuously aligned, inspired, and motivated.
  • Actively maintain the Program Plan, working with the PMO to ensure prudent controls are deployed to meet agreed margin & revenue targets, using best practice tools, RLS, resource forecasts and milestone billing
  • Design and develop high-quality, tailored and costed transformation solutions in collaboration with bid teams and other SMEs to achieve customers goals, including the support of the business case to enable funds to be allocated.
  • Primary responsibility for the delivery assessment and oversight on major bids to apply current knowledge of the IT services sector to define transformative strategies and roadmaps leading to operational efficiencies for our clients.
  • Acting as review and escalation point for all solution related activities during program delivery to ensure the appropriate and timely intervention and course correction.
  • Ensure designs and solutions created by key personnel minimize the financial exposure whilst optimizing profitability and business benefit.
  • Focusing teams on solutions containing re-usability and convergence across our customer base towards the use of WIPRO business and application architecture; defining roadmaps and solution development for strategic review over life of contract
  • Continuously manage program risks and dependencies and conduct program health assessments through critical and objective assessment, implementing appropriate re-orientation / recovery strategies where required.


Skills, Knowledge & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following experience skills and behaviors:

  • Previous experience in large scale Program Delivery within IT Infrastructure/ Data Center/ cloudification space and demonstrating and up to date knowledge of current transformational technologies including Infrastructure Modernization, cloud & hybrid cloud deliveries.
  • Exposure to Cloud Infrastructure Services domain including all Data Center, Compute, Network, EUC, and related technologies at an Enterprise level.
  • Represent Wipro as a trusted advisor with senior customer executives and be the "face off Wipro" at executive business reviews and customer board meetings,
  • Experience of successfully conceptualizing and delivering transformation strategies linked to sound business cases.
  • Ability to manage customer stakeholders with tact and firmness to enable the best outcomes and commercial outcomes with strong governance and controls.
  • Comfortable with regular travel to customer locations as required.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility at board level as well as at operational delivery level.
  • Experience of successfully working in a matrix delivery structure would be advantageous.
  • Proven experience of delivering excellence in response to high client expectations & large levels of ambiguity
  • Managed large teams, complex projects, including remote delivery teams from global locations.


“Expected annual pay for this role ranges from $125,000 to $ 2,77,000. Based on the position, the role is also eligible for Wipro’s standard benefits including a full range of medical and dental benefits options, disability insurance, paid time off (inclusive of sick leave), other paid and unpaid leave options.”
