Instructional Designer

Our large energy industry client is seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to transform its current training program for technicians into a unified, competency-based, enterprise-wide training system. This initiative will involve updating and customizing curricula to align with identified competency requirements across different job positions and business lines.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze existing content and map it to the approved competency framework produced by the learning analyst.
- Create the design and confer with the developer about images and interactions.
- Produce a storyboard with suggested images, interaction, and a voice-over script.
- Work with Quality Assurance and subject matter experts to ensure updated content meets the technical and competency requirements.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
Start Date: Q3 2024
Duration: Through the end of 2025 with the possibility to extend
Hours: 40 hours per week (would consider 20 hours per week)
Location: Virtual
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field.
- Proficient in analysis and providing recommendations and best practices for blended learning solutions.
- Familiarity with adult learning principles and educational technologies.
- Experience creating training for highly technical content
- Experience in the oil & gas industry or a related field such as utilities, energy, or nuclear.
- Expertise with Articulate 360; must own license
- Strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word
- A strong portfolio of relevant work samples.
- Able to collaborate in a large team and work on two to three lessons at a time.

The pay range for this is $55.00 to $60.00 per hour W2. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, relevant education, certifications and specific work location.
