The Assistant General Counsel will provide legal support and guidance on various real estate transactions, contracts, and general corporate matters. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong interest in real estate law and the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Assistant General Counsel Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating real estate contracts, leases, purchase agreements, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on real estate laws, regulations, and industry trends.
- Support the legal team in managing property acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local real estate laws and regulations.
- Liaise with external counsel, regulatory agencies, and other relevant parties on legal matters.
- Assist in resolving real estate disputes, including landlord-tenant issues and property management concerns.
- Maintain organized records of legal documents and correspondence.
- Provide general legal support to various departments within the company as needed.
Assistant General Counsel Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 1-3 years of experience in real estate law, preferably in a law firm or in-house legal department.
- Strong understanding of real estate transactions, contracts, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
