Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in VMware and VDI Horizon with VxRail/HCI Admin experience. This role will support Cyber Command, providing critical IT solutions to enhance cybersecurity operations and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in designing and implementing advanced solutions for our federal clients, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of IT infrastructure.
Design, develop, and implement IT solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of Cyber Command.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
Utilize VMware technologies to create and manage virtualized environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
Implement automation solutions using Ansible, focusing on scalability and reliability.
Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to deployment and support.
Conduct system architecture evaluations and make recommendations for improvements.
Ensure solutions comply with federal regulations and security standards, particularly those relevant to cybersecurity operations.
Document architecture designs, processes, and procedures to maintain comprehensive project records.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance solution offerings.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Proven experience as a Solution Architect, preferably within the federal sector or cybersecurity domain.
Extensive experience with VMware technologies, including vSphere, vCenter, and Horizon.
Strong VDI Horizon experience
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, virtualization, and cloud computing.
Hands-on experience with Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) technologies and VxRail
Extensive experience with Dell hardware, including servers, storage, and networking.
Experience with network design, storage solutions, and security protocols.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
U.S. citizenship required.
Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting cybersecurity operations, particularly within federal agencies.
Knowledge of federal IT environments and understanding of government procurement processes.
Familiarity with additional automation tools and frameworks.
Project management experience or certification.
