The Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and coordinate maintenance activities in an FDA regulated facility, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and optimizing processes for efficiency and cost reduction. Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and staff on the assigned shift (2nd or 3rd), ensuring effective utilization of resources and adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Provide leadership, motivation, training, and development opportunities for maintenance team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and evaluate employee performance, providing feedback and coaching to ensure adherence to company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.
  • Conduct process optimization activities to identify opportunities for cost reduction, efficiency improvements, and reliability enhancements in maintenance operations.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize downtime while maintaining equipment reliability and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and company quality standards in all maintenance activities and documentation.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and MS Office tools for maintenance planning, scheduling, and reporting.
  • Manage union relations effectively, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and promoting a positive working environment.
  • Implement preventive maintenance programs and strategies to maximize equipment uptime and lifespan.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably in a high-speed packaging or manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team of maintenance technicians.
  • Experience with CMMS software and proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and experience working in a regulated manufacturing facility is highly desirable.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving maintenance issues.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally at all levels of the organization.
  • Flexibility to work either 2nd or 3rd shift as needed based on operational requirements.
