A Day in the Life: The Logistics Warehouse & Transportation Manager leads operational and strategic activities within a designated area, directing teams of six or more while focusing on performance management, talent development, and fostering inclusivity.


Responsibilities:

  • Controls the flow of raw and finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the manufacturing site, through to customer placement in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements.
  • Logistic 3PL Supplier Contract Management
  • Transportation Contract Management
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions.
  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives.
  • Builds relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues.
  • Integrates market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position.


Must-Have:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years prior relevant experience.
  • Experience in selecting and managing 3PL in customer capacity
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, and related operational roles
  • Extensive experien of SAP, WMS and TMS systems (Implementations will be an added advantage)
  • Solid understanding of logistics ance/understandingd inventory management software
  • Ability to collect and analyze financial and operational data, and inventory management
  • Ability to drive robust performance culture including the use of KPIs to drive continuous improvement

  • Understanding of broader / global distribution network functioning
  • Excellent analytical, problem and organizational skills
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to develop team including Coaching, and Mentoring skills
  • Ability to develop procedures, training documents and safety/compliance manuals
  • Certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma, ISO 13485
