Illumination Dynamics, Inc. is looking for a Diesel Truck and Generator mechanic with a positive attitude and strong work ethic to work in our Santa Clarita, CA office. The role of Diesel Truck and Generator mechanic is a full time position, on a daily basis; you would be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairs and troubleshooting to commercial delivery trucks/vehicles and generators. Knowledge of Paralleling Generator systems is a plus. Fabricating and welding skills are beneficial. Must have a clean driving record. CDL Class A or B license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities also include:

  • Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
  • Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
  • Perform preventative maintenance
  • Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
  • Prepare work orders and order parts
  • Maintain a clean and safe workplace
  • Ability to work irregular hours, on-call rotation, and/or overnight travel on occasion may be required

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated and willing to work with little supervision
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude
  • General knowledge of generator theory, systems, equipment and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret generator drawings, blueprints and schematics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess valid driver’s license with good driving record (CDL A or B Preferred)
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to operate both standard and power tools
  • High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
  • Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus
