VitalCore Health Strategies - Nurse Practitioner Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl, MS. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical care to inmates, working closely with healthcare professionals and correctional staff to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide medical care to inmates, including diagnosing and treating health problems, and prescribing treatment under the direction of a physician.
  • Implement medical care plans, utilizing therapeutic regimens approved by a physician.
  • Provide education to inmates, healthcare staff, and correctional staff on health-related topics.
  • Document all healthcare contacts and adhere to safety and security policies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited college/university NP or PA program.
  • Current licenses or certifications in this state.
  • Experience in correctional healthcare desired but not required.
