As an HR Associate, you'll be integral to the HR operations of the business. Reporting directly to the head of HR, you will be the main liaison for employees, guiding them through the completion of their I-9 forms, employee benefits enrollment/termination, assisting in the coordination and execution of company events, and performing administrative tasks and accounting duties related to employee benefits.


This role offers the opportunity to drive accuracy and compliance while supporting our workforce.

Key Responsibilities/Functions


  • Processing enrollment/termination of benefits.
  • Collect, manage, and perform audits of I-9 Forms.
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department.
  • May assist with payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions and fixing processing errors.
  • Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and retirement celebrations.
  • Assists with the preparation of the performance review process.
  • Files documents into appropriate employee files.
  • Schedules meetings and interviews as requested.
  • Makes photocopies; mails, scans, and emails documents; and performs other clerical functions.
  • Dependent Medical/Dental premium reconciliation
  • Voluntary AD&D/Life insurance premium reconciliation
  • Medical/Dental/VSP & Mutual of Omaha Premium invoice processing
  • Document the presence of companies at events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
  • Assist the marketing department in developing the advertising, marketing, and promotion plans.
  • Edit and revise content as necessary.
  • Mail (incoming and outgoing): Receives, sorts, and routes mail. Type envelopes and labels, as needed, and take outgoing mail to the drop box at the end of each day.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and anticipates supply needs; ensures prompt ordering and receipt of supplies and delivers supplies to workstations as needed.
  • Welcomes on-site visitors, determines the nature of business, and announces visitors to appropriate personnel.
  • This is a non-safety-sensitive role.




Minimum Requirements


  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Working understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with a good sense of humor
  • Experience in social media platforms
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proven ability to work alongside varied teams in different cultural and linguistic settings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.



Work Environment:


Performing the duties, the employee will occasionally be in an on-site construction environment where they may be exposed to moving mechanical components and equipment, high and subgrade places, fumes and/or airborne particles, weather conditions, and electrical systems. The noise of the environment is often moderate to very loud.
