Sourcing Manager


We are seeking a skilled Sourcing Manager to join our dynamic team. The Sourcing Manager will play a crucial role in managing our procurement of materials and services essential to our manufacturing processes. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of sourcing strategies, supplier management, and procurement best practices within medical device manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to achieve cost-effective procurement of materials and components while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Identify and qualify new and alternative critical suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and adherence to delivery schedules.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality assurance, and engineering to align sourcing activities with production requirements and product specifications.
  • Provide sourcing directions and options for new product development team from easy and quick prototyping to steady state manufacturability stage.
  • Conduct market analysis and monitor industry trends to anticipate supply chain risks and opportunities.
  • Drive initiatives for cost reduction, process optimization, and supplier performance improvement.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track supplier performance: quality, delivery, cost savings, and other relevant metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all sourcing activities.
  • Lead or participate in critical supplier business review, audits and assessments to evaluate capabilities, quality systems, and operational performance. Address nonconformance issues for both internal and external.
  • Project management from contract negotiation, purchase order, planning and scheduling, verification and validation, to final launch into production.



Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 + years of proven working experience as a Sourcing Manager or in a similar role within the medical device/manufacturing industry.
  • Experience sourcing injection molded parts for both plastic and silicone resins, metal and plastic machine parts. Materials include titanium and stainless steel.
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes, supplier management, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO) applicable to medical device manufacturing.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel both domestic and international.



Salary range for this position is $120-150k per year which is the general base range for a successful candidate in the State of Washington. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors such as skills, qualifications and experience.
