JL Sorenson Recreation Center Job OpportunitiesJL Sorenson Recreation Center is a Fitness & Recreation Center located in Herriman, UT 84096. The center offers a variety of amenities including gymnasiums, racquetball courts, a multi-purpose room, a lap pool, a leisure pool with toys & slides, party rooms, aerobics & spin rooms, a cardio fitness area, and a strength fitness area (weight room). The center operates a wide variety of youth & adult sports, programs, and services, for which we are always hiring staff. The positions we regularly hire for are listed below.Working for the JL Sorenson Recreation Center is amazing. Perks include flexible hours, and a fun environment.We are looking for motivated, reliable, people-friendly folks to join our team in the following areas:Recreation -- Youth Sports Youth Basketball OfficialsSoccer Officials (indoor & outdoor)Flag Football OfficialsRugby OfficialsT-Ball OfficialsVolleyball OfficialsTrack/Cross Country staff (coaches/clinicians for outdoor, indoor, and training programs)Recreation -- Day Camp/Clinics Off Track & Summer Day Camp Group LeadersMulti-Sport CliniciansAquatics LifeguardsSwim InstructorsSwim Team CoachesCustodial/Maintenance CustodiansCustomer Service Team Front Desk AttendantBuilding AttendantDue to the nature of some of these positions, the selected applicant must pass a required pre-employment background check in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirementsTEMPORARY POSITIONS:Must work an average of 29 hours or less per week or an average of 129 hours or less per month.Are not eligible for County benefits except as otherwise provided for by policy.Are not considered merit employees.Are "at will" employees who may be terminated for any reason, without notice, and without a pre-termination hearing.
