Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for you.Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a Material Support Team Member with a logistics background in Kennedy Space Center, Florida to organize, plan, and coordinate the movement of materials between various locations on and off-site. As a material support team member your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:Coordinate with on base contractors on oversized over the road transportsWork in step with Production Operations and the Floor Operations Group to ensure movement of critical hardware are pre-coordinatedProvide daily activity reports to stakeholders, highlighting critical activities and major occurrences.Enable the logistics group to fulfill the team goals through excellent communication, providing flow-down direction, while energizing and providing opportunities for training, growth, rotations, as well as mentoring the teamProcess and monitor customer demands and schedule program production orders.Provide direct support to space programs and manufacturing floors.Use material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other mechanized warehouse equipment to move materialsProvide recommendations and develop improvement strategies on existing processesDesired skills:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college and/or equivalent experience/combined education.Class A CDLOther important information:By applying to this job, you are expressing interest in this position and could be considered for other career opportunities where similar skills and requirements have been identified as a match.
