Materials Planner

Required Skills:
- Project management experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a New Product environment
- Ability to read and interpret multi-level product BOM's
- Must be a self-starter and be able to work/collaborate with other team members
- Strong written & oral communication skills
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Knowledge of SAP transactions
- Able to advise and coordinate cross -functionally to identify and avoid potential risks and mitigate risks driving resolution
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and SharePoint
Day to Day:
- Support the engineering business units by providing direct materials and logistics support.
- Responsible for processing all newly designed parts procurement requests (ERF/RPM Kits).
- Provide status of open orders to Product Group. Expedite delivery schedule based on engineering requirements.
- Support shipments for new product by coordinating engineering owned material to appropriate shipping location (SAF/ZSA)
- Support Product Group shipment of Wafers
- After hours SAF Help Desk and Pilot SAF coverage (plant 1000 & 1020)
- Process and complete Engineering change order hand-off actions.
- Manage reservations for material staged in inventory location.
- Establish and maintain a strong relationship between Program/Product Management, Engineering, Production Control, and Supply Chain.
- Single Point of contact for Engineering; Provide material assessment and guidance on best known practices regarding materials.
- Ad hoc reporting as needed by Product Group
- Participate in cross functional teams and communicate delivery issues related to the build schedule.
- Attend daily status shortage meetings and provide feedback on program changes.
- Address 1A/Order BOM requirements for newly designed parts
- Coordinate material transfers/movement from engineering into unrestricted inventory location.
- Manage aging inventory in engineering location and obtain commitment from product/program groups for disposition.
- Support the transition of new products from pilot production to volume manufacturing.
- Communicate upcoming engineering changes to supply chain including knowledge of potential rework
- Advise and drive BOM accuracy
- Determine root cause for material risks and drive solution and recovery plan
- Ensure all purchase parts have met release criteria to be ordered and shipped to external customers
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
