Site Reliability Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge and experience with monitoring and alarming processes and technology.
  • Expertise in cloud service platforms and ability to establish new cloud environments.
  • Analyze system interactions and dependencies within the Voice Services product.
  • Provide on-call support based on rotation and issue severity.
  • Route defects to internal/external teams for remediation.
  • Collaborate with monitoring teams to develop new alarms and alerts, ensuring proper data capture for incident triggers.
  • Define monitoring types and thresholds.
  • Knowledge of SSL certificates and general networking.
  • Document and maintain playbooks for Mean Time to Repair (MTTR).
  • Participate in weekly calls to stay informed on system changes.
  • Experience with Call Center platforms.
  • Forecast and plan capacity for system and network resources.
  • Ensure cost-efficient provisioning of resources.


Education & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT Engineering or Operations with increasing responsibilities.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Kubernetes clusters, including hands-on experience with NGINX Ingress controllers.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Linux environments.
  • Working knowledge of databases such as Oracle, SQL, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud infrastructures (AWS, Google, IBM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with web servers (Nginx, Apache, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Strong multi-tasking and prioritization skills.
