The CRA Strategy & Program Management (S&PM) team partners with lines of business across the enterprise to sustain Capital One's longstanding Outstanding CRA performance. We maintain high data quality and control standards, and develop and support effective strategies with each applicable business. Most importantly, we manage CRA examinations by showing the bank examiners how Capital One effectively responds to the lending, investment, and service needs of the communities where we do business. We convey Capital One's comprehensive and durable approach to improving the financial well-being of low- and moderate-income people and neighborhoods. The CRA S&PM team is looking for a self-motivated individual to play a critical risk management role on our Data Management, Analysis, Technology and Automation (DATA) team.The ideal candidate will monitor and review the completeness of the regulatory data processes, and support their quality assurance in accordance with the team's data compliance and reporting controls.ResponsibilitiesSupport governance, risk and compliance controls management functionsAssist with internal control design, implementation and monitoringTrack execution of risk and controls activities and prepare management reportsAssist with team organization and response to internal audits and regulatory compliance examsMonitor regulatory data integrity compliance training execution and toolsManage teams annual job aid and procedure document update exercisesAssist with preparations related to the annual submission of complete and accurate CRA and HMDA Loan Registers to the appropriate regulatory agencyThe Successful Candidate Will Have:Strong problem-solving, oral and written communication skillsStrong organizational skills and ability to effectively prioritizeVery strong attention to detail with the ability to focus on data and quality controlDemonstrated ability to work independently, perform and influence others in a fast-paced environmentPropensity to identify and assess potential risks in the processesExperience assisting in updating team policies and standardsBasic Qualifications:Associates degree or Military experienceAt least 1 years of experience in quality assurance or audit rolesPreferred Qualifications:At least 1 year experience with Google Suite and Microsoft ExcelAt least 2 years of experience in governance, risk management or compliance rolesExperience using CRA Wiz software to process and maintain regulatory dataAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position. The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked. McLean, VA: $117,300 - $133,900 for Principal Risk Specialist Plano, TX: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Risk Specialist Richmond, VA: $106,700 - $121,700 for Principal Risk Specialist Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidates offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non discretionary depending on the plan.
