Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Estimating And Pricing Specialist (Senior Or Lead) to join our team developing estimates for Air Dominance Proprietary programs in Berkeley, Missouri. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 4 and Level 5 Specialists to find the best fit for the position. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work. The ideal candidate will combine strong critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.Position Responsibilities:Leads development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build, and support stages of the programLeads development, and application of complex estimating, and pricing strategies using innovative computational techniquesGuides business proposals, evaluates, and makes recommendations based on complex or unique requests for proposals, and substantiates estimates, and pricingLeads and performs complex analysis, and provides recommendations in support of pricing, and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)Coordinates and collaborates with proposal teams, and cost element functional owners to develop appropriate basis of estimate, and substantiation of cost estimates, proposals, and other related business decision dataProvides fact-finding, negotiation and audit support of cost proposal artifacts, and coordinate responses through proposal teamsSupports, prepares, and briefs senior leader-level presentationsIdentifies, assesses and implements changes to processes, tools, and techniques to simplify estimating, and pricing methodologies, and improve cost estimating accuracySupport compliance activitiesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's Degree or higher5+ years of experience in a business-related role (finance, contracts, accounting, etc.), previous estimating experience required3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, etcExperience performing parametric estimates and data analysisPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)Experience using data analysis to drive decision makingExperience leading projects with little direct supervision and drive project to completionExperience presenting to senior leadershipExperience performing opportunity and risk analysisDrug Free Workplace: Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits: At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
